My husband and I had been married 10 years or so, and one night we went over to the home of a friend for dinner. It was summer. There was another couple there, and then our hostess, who was divorced. Our kids were all around the same age and enjoyed playing together. It was a beautiful night, and we sat outside.
During the course of the evening, I noticed how my husband and our hostess ended up spending the majority of the evening sitting next to each other talking. She asked my husband to start the fire. They laughed. She touched his arm. A lot. To say they were flirting is an understatement.
What level of flirting with others is okay when you’re married?
My husband has always been a charmer and a flirt. That’s part of what drew me to him. I just didn’t expect him to keep flirting other women after we were married.
Then again, am I just making something out of nothing? I never mentioned it to him. I told myself I was just being ridiculous. They were just being friendly.
